Project content

The minister visited the Benauge fire station on friday April 26.

The Benauge fire station, built in 1954, is an iconic architectural symbol of Bordeaux. Designed by the famous architects Claude Ferret, Adrien Courtois and Yves Salier, its style and integration into the modern movement earned it the title of French Historic Monument in 2014.

Today, the Benauge fire house is the subject of a project to renovate and redevelop its surroundings. The future project will revolve around the conversion of the heritage buildings and the creation of a new residential building with :
• A “Life style” hotel with 95 rooms and a restaurant with a terrace on the top floor, office and party venue on the first floor.
• The hose tower and former firefighters’ gymnasium will be converted into sports facilities.
• 26 apartments titled as Historic Monument
• A new building with 77 units, 40% of which are social
• A central garden to provide an island of freshness in the Benauge district.
