Project contentDesignated a “Remarkable 20th-century heritage site”, the Galin swimming pool is a landmark in the urban and social landscape of Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
An original work by architects Gérard and Chassin, the pool was built in 1966. It was closed in 2014 following the discovery of asbestos. In 2018, under the direction of our agency, renovation work began, with the aim of modernizing the facility by improving technical equipment, user-friendliness and comfort – while preserving the original spirit. In 2023, the Galin swimming pool was inaugurated after a complete renovation.
Today, it includes a 25x15m swimming pool, a 12.5×12.5m learning pool, a paddling pool, mineral beaches, a solarium for swimmers, a water playground, a cool island and a weight room.
