Competition Winner – MULTIPURPOSE PERFORMANCE HALL IN DAX (40)

Project content

Atelier Ferret Architectures has been selected to design the future multifunctional performance hall of Grand Dax, marking a significant milestone in the city’s economic, sports, and cultural development.

This major cultural facility, with an estimated cost of €21.76 million (excl. tax), is scheduled for completion in 2029. Designed as a unifying and flexible venue, it will accommodate up to 3,400 spectators, in both seated and standing configurations, allowing for a wide variety of artistic and cultural events.

Located right next to the Dax Arena, a listed historic monument, the project is designed in respectful dialogue with this emblematic heritage while expressing a distinctly contemporary architectural language.

With this new hall, Grand Dax is acquiring a landmark facility capable of supporting the region’s cultural and event-driven dynamism.

We thank the city of Dax for their trust.
