Competition Winner – MULTIPURPOSE PERFORMANCE HALL IN DAX (40)

Atelier Ferret Architectures has been selected to design the future multipurpose performance hall of Grand Dax, a significant milestone for the city’s cultural project.

This major cultural facility, with an estimated cost of €21.76 million excluding VAT, is scheduled for completion in 2029. Designed as a unifying and flexible venue, it will accommodate up to 3,400 spectators, in both seated and standing configurations, allowing for a wide variety of artistic and cultural events.

Located in close proximity to the Arènes de Dax, a listed historic monument, the project has been conceived to engage respectfully with this emblematic heritage while asserting a contemporary identity.

With this new hall, Grand Dax will gain a structuring facility capable of supporting the city’s dynamic cultural and event program.
