Competition Winner –
Municipal Dojo in BRIVE (19)

Project content

Atelier Ferret Architectures has been selected to design the future Municipal Dojo of Brive, a contemporary 2,600 m² facility dedicated to martial arts, daily training, and major competitions.

The building will include a main competition area with four tatami mats, 400-seat spectator stands, a clubhouse, changing rooms, a fitness room with sauna, an anti-doping control area, a first-aid room, and all necessary technical spaces.

The project addresses three major objectives:

  • an urban objective, by activating Avenue Léo Lagrange and creating a new sports-focused hub;
  • a social objective, by providing an open and accessible facility for the general public, helping to democratize martial arts and sports practice;
  • a sporting objective, by delivering a high-performance venue dedicated to judo and FFJDA disciplines, suitable for both daily training and regional competitions.

With this dojo, Brive will gain a functional, contemporary, and unifying facility serving clubs, practitioners, and the city’s sporting profile.

We thank the City of Brive for its trust.
