ONGOING CONSTRUCTION – GYMNASIUM ALICE MILLIAT IN MÉRIGNAC

Project content

The construction of the future Alice Milliat gymnasium in Mérignac is progressing rapidly. This sports complex, which is expected to become a major attraction for the city, is designed to meet both the needs of school sports and the requirements of high-level athletics.

Program overview:

  • A large 50m x 35m multi-sport hall, suitable for all indoor team sports, with a capacity of 250 fixed seats and an additional 750 seats on mobile bleachers.
  • An annex hall dedicated to physical preparation, dance, and gymnastics.
  • A social space, resembling a “Club House,” offering a stunning view of the main multi-sport hall, ideal for relaxation and gatherings.
  • An outdoor sports area, including a basketball court, a running track, and a play wall with a climbing section. This area will have direct access to the courtyard of the new Rosa Bonheur school, strengthening the connection between the school and sports.

All these facilities will support students, local sports associations, as well as the Bordeaux Mérignac Volley Club, a high-level resident club whose women’s team competes in the Elite league..

An eco-friendly construction site
The architecture of the complex favors sustainable materials, such as brick facades and a wooden structure, while incorporating a 86m² photovoltaic roof to promote the production of green energy.

Delivery is scheduled for 2025.
