Inaugural at the Galin Pool

It is with great pride, the Atelier Ferret Architectures took part in the inauguration of the Galin Pool in Bordeaux, last month, following its’ restoration.
Labeled as an « oustanding heritage of the 20th century », the Galin Pool is an emblematic spot in the urban and social landscape in the right bank area of Bordeaux.
Initially created by the minds of the architects Gérard and Chassin, the pool was built in 1966. The restorative works began under the direction of our agency, with the stakes of modernizing the place by upgrading the technical equipments, the conviviality and the comfort - while preserving its’ original spirit.
The new aquatic complex has two pools, a paddling pool for children, a sun lounge, water displays and an outdoor beach full of greenery. Up to 600 swimmers can be welcomed.
